Phil used to be the ‘man from the Pru’. Following a successful career with Prudential, spanning nearly 20 years, in a variety of financial advisor roles, Phil decided to develop his career further as an Independent Financial Adviser.
In 2002 Phil joined forces with Phil Perry as a co-founder and co-director of ARK Financial Planning.
Phil has a commitment to lifelong learning and a desire to ensure he develops his financial advisory skills to the maximum for the benefit of his clients. Phil is one of a very small number of financial advisers to gain ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ status, the pinnacle of achievement for a financial planning professional. There are currently around 1,600 Chartered Financial Planners in the country.
In addition Phil has been awarded a Certified Financial Planner Licence by the Institute of Financial Planning, one of only 1,000 or so advisers in the country to be awarded a licence.
Besides having a regular column in the Tameside Reporter group of newspapers, Phil’s financial skills and experience have recently been called upon by the BBC as part of their ‘Money Matters’ roadshow in association with the Working Lunch programme.
Phil is also often called upon and quoted by national trade publications and the national press.
